DARREN NICHOLLS

The new host of From Pistols To Pulp, Darren was born in Truro, Cornwall in 1971 to Air Force parents and lived in the south west until the age of six when his parents split up. Since then, he has been in Kent, apart from a six year spell lived in Stafford.

Darren also co-hosts the popular Deeper 80s show bi-weekly with Samantha Marcus.

He is a member of The Heath Players amdram group in East Malling and is also a member of the Maidstone St. John Ambulance, division. He’s fond of all great music but not too keen on what's current. He finds good new music has to be sought out these days, but obviously that’s not a problem now that he can listen to Mad Wasp Radio! He recognises that there's still loads of old music to be discovered and taking over From Pistols to Pulp is going to magnify this because, as the great Tommy Vance once said, "Your audience is always more knowledgeable than you". So true!
